Synopsis :
Bernard Cornwell narrates the adventures of the book The Last Kingdom in the context of the historical events of the 9th century in Britain: In 872 AD, the invading Viking tribes succeeded in capturing this land with a massive attack on Britain, and only one of the British rulers of that era managed to protect it. From the territory of his land, he goes against the Vikings, and he is none other than Alfred the Great, the king of a land in the southwest of Britain, whose resistance and his efforts to defeat the invading tribes are the beginning of the formation of England as a country within the British island. But the main character of the story is Bernard Cornwell. There is a person named Uhtred of Bebbanburg who was killed by his father during the Viking attack on Britain as a child and taken captive. But after a while he was released by one of the Viking commanders nicknamed Ragnar the Fearless and was adopted. The suitability of the members of this family with him and the way they live freely makes him close to this family and become one of them. But a bitter and painful incident changes everything…
